It's going well...

Wade is back at work today after two wonderful weeks at home. It is a bit weird but it will be a short week so I am ok with it. President's Day was yesterday so he had that off. The girls had piano and after that we ran some errands. Nothing huge but a nice family day. Today he went in a bit before noon. Friday he is taking off so we can go to Dallas!! I am so excited. We are going to a Love and Respect conference down there. I am excited for the conference but I am also very excited just to be spending the time with Wade! It will only be an overnight trip, we should be home by Saturday night after leaving Friday morning. It is hard to believe my children are old enough to be left alone... I will ask a friend to be on "stand-by" just in case but I know they will do just fine.
Since Wade has been back I have really been trying to do good with my food planning. I want to eat at home more to save money, eat healthier, etc but also because I need to deplete my pantry for our upcoming move. We still have no idea where or exactly when but we do know it will be sometime this summer. We are also waiting to hear of a promotion date for Wade. We are praying for April. If it is in April there is a good chance that Wade's mom and sister will be able to come and we would also try to get Brittany home for it. My feeble attempt at a joke to Wade was you know what they call a Captain promoted to Major on April Fools Day right? He dutifully asked what...I told him Captain . Not very funny I know but I do try :-)
Back for one second to my food planning I have found some really interesting recipes to try lately and they have been getting pretty good reviews...if you like spicy this may be one for you http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pepperoncini-Beef/Detail.aspx I have just become a supporting member of allrecipes.com. I like it a lot! You can add your own recipes or pick from the ones on there and make a shopping list. It really is coming in handy. With the shopping list feature I can remove the items that I already have and just make a print out of the ones I don't.
Well that is about all for now...hopefully more to follow......
