I'm back?

Well, I'm not sure if I am "back" or not yet but I thought I might give this a go again. I have taken myself off of facebook for a while. It was taking up too much of my time and I hate to admit it but...I have very little in the way of self control when it comes to certain things. I was trying to control it for a while and right now it just isn't working for me. That is not to say I won't go back in some way shape or form cause I might :-)! It was a wonderful way of keeping in touch with folks that we normally don't hear from much but in a small way I got caught up in the accepting everyone as my friend. That isn't what I wanted or needed from there. I needed support and encouragement (wanted to give that too...) for what is going on in my life. I had accepted younger people as my friends (they were more my kids friends than mine) and people that in all honesty weren't my friends but just people I knew. As time went on I realized I probably wanted something a bit more meaningful out of it. Anyway so here I am. I have been "off" facebook for 2 whole days (LOL) and I am moving right along in my school work which is what I NEED to do right now.
I have had many thoughts roaming around my head for weeks, maybe months! Just things that I do in my day to day life that might be helpful hints to my friends. I kept thinking about the blog thing and here I am ...
Family - things are going well, as well as can be expected. Wade has been gone for 6.5 months at this point and I can tell you with ABSOLUTE certainty that the light is glowing very bright at the end of my tunnel! LOL! Not like tomorrow bright or anything but there is definitely an end in sight! Brittany - oh my! I love my eldest! She is a great person. She is coming up against some difficult decisions in life, her dad and I are trying to help the best way we can without interfering too much. She is doing very well in school (deans list), working with her collegian (similar to a sorority), working on campus to help with tuition, she has one major and two minors now and is just a very busy young lady. Michelle - what a young woman she is turning out to be. Her personality just shines. Very sweet! She is like Brittany's calmer twin :-). She continues to study hard in preparation for college and eventually her nursing degree. She will attend PCC for at least 2 years and then maybe on to complete a nursing program somewhere else. Hannah - oh my! LOL! She is something. I love the way she thinks of things. Very animated and loving/lovable. She is Brittany's siamese twin they are SOOOO much alike! Life will get more noisy for sure when Britt gets home next week! She also plans to go to PCC but has no idea what she is going to do when she gets there LOL! Typical Hannah! Me - things are going pretty well! I have recouped from my two surgeries and seem to be making some forward progress in my weight loss! YAY! I am fitting in school for me, school for my two high school students, the gym, and the house every day. Gonna have to find husband time in there!
We are getting prepared for a move this coming summer. Where are we going you ask? No idea! I reply! LOL! We are ok with anywhere, we will make it work regardless. Wade and I both seem to think we are headed to the West Coast. We are also waiting to hear about Wade's promotion board. We should know right before Christmas. I am already 5 months into my "we move in 1 year" plan. I go through and start using up cleaners, the odd foods I have purchased since being here, decluttering, etc. It is going well and I have been even more ruthless than ever in the past! I am back on the Flylady program after being off and on for 10 years. She has helped me a bunch over the years and I actually feel like for the most part I have my stuff together.
Well I have other post ideas but this is enough for now. Just wanted to say hi :-)!

Glad to see you back to blogging, Laura! Man, I just don't know what it is about some people... they just never post on their blogs any more ;o) *blush*

I couldn't figure out why my usual picture didn't show up on my comment.... I had signed in to the wrong account! I guess that makes a few too many google accounts when you can't keep them straight.

Awww, I miss seeing your posts on FB but I totally understand. I think blogging is a somewhat more personal way of keeping in contact because you can write more. FB is easier because it requires less thinking =). I try to keep up with both because different people are on each, but lately I'm not doing a good job with either.

Have a great weekend Mrs. W!! =)
