I decided to try this whole blog thing out. Not that I have much that anyone would want to read, life is pretty routine, but I thought it would be a neat way to keep in touch with folks. I am horrible at consistent contact with those that I love. I have many excuses for why but the truth is I am just not great at it. There has been some stuff going on around here though. The biggest thing right now is getting Britt ready to graduate high school! I can't believe, most days, that we are graduating our first child from homeschooling. It seems we just started. I thank God that we started when Britt was in Kindergarten and he has allowed us to homeschool all of our children. For those who don't know, Brittany is heading off to Pensacola Christian College in the Fall. She has not only received her acceptance but they also have approved her for the work/study program. What a blessing that is to us. She was trained as a lifeguard when we were in Okinawa and she is now going to put that to good use being a lifeguard at PCC! (hopefully, she hasn't received her work asignment yet but they are apparently always looking for lifeguards!) If you click here it will show PCC's new sports annex where they have a water park. I think that is where she will work. We have other things going on of course but that is the biggie!
I have been learning a lot of things this year with FBI .The first time I took this semester was when my dad was diagnosed with cancer so I never got a chance to finish it. I had gone to NY to help out my mom with drs appointments and all. I am getting a blessing now though, that's for sure. Britt is also graduating from FBI this semester and Wade is taking FBI with us now. Michelle starts up in the Fall with us. We use FBI as our high school Bible curriculum.
I hope this will be a good way for us to keep in at least some contact.
God Bless,
Laura

Yippie!!! I was so excited to see your blog! I've been really wondering about you lately and kept meaning to e-mail... well, you see how that turned out. I guess we both need to work on this whole communication thing.
How exciting for Brittany to be starting this phase in her life. There's a young man from our church here in Jerusalem that is at PCC right now! I'll have to e-mail you his info before she leaves for school and they can meet... it will be like a connection between us ;)
I miss FBI SO MUCH! Hey, I know.. that's what your posts can be about... what you learned at FBI!! Sounds great, right??!!
I can't wait to hear more and keep in touch with you. Take care, Laura!
Hey there Pam! You have encouraged me with your blog to start this one. I miss you in FBI although now I am the first one finished with the tests :-)! Maybe I can link your blog to this one? Let me know!

I'm excited to read your post about the KJV... will it be soon?
Hey Laura! Glad to hear from you. This is the first time I have done a blog. It will be nice to keep in touch this way. We have been doing o.k. Jake was sick and at the vets for 4 days a couple weeks ago. It was really scary. We thought he was going to have to have exploratory surgery. They didn't have to though. That was a blessing. We found out a couple of weeks ago that we are going to be grandparents. Dee is due to have a baby girl in May. That was quite a surprise. Can't believe Brittany is going to be graduating. I'm sure she is excited. They all look so grown up. When will you be coming back to NC? Sure do miss you guys. Keep in touch. Hope to hear from you again soon, Lynn
HI LAURA!!!! Girl I miss you! So excited that you started a blog! I'll definately keep checking it, just like I do with Pam's blog, which is also FABULOUS! Did you send this link to Megan? I will if not. LOVE YA!
