We are all learning how to quilt! It is wonderful! I love it and have jumped in with both feet. That doesn't mean I am getting a lot accomplished but I want to do a LOT! :-)! The girls and I are each doing the "Buck a Block" program using Thangles. They are pretty neat. Here is a picture of one of Hannah's blocks right before she sewed everything together
This is Michelle's
This is mine...
Brittany and I were doing the same one but she decided it was to "plain" so she chose new fabrics
Here is the other quilt I am doing. This is part of a class that I am taking. You pay $5 for the first block and as long as you get your quilt block done...or try to and bring it to the next class the next block is free! They also give door prizes out in each class! Cool huh? I am excited about this one...
They are not all great but hey, you have to start somewhere....

Ahhh, you've caught the BUG! Your progress looks great; can't wait to see the final project!
And that class sounds awesome; what great ideas to keep people motivated! I'll have to remember that for any future teaching opportunities.
Hi Laura...saw your comment on Pam's site...
Keep up with the quilting..it looks fantastic! I am a Quilter and find it the most rewarding of hobbies..a gift with a true labor of love and cherished by all that receive them. Try the Turning Twenty Pattern..great for beginners and every fabric looks great...you use only 20 fat quarters! I've made three and all different!
have fun!
Laura and girls,
I have been quilting for a little over a year and really enjoy it. My first finished quilt was for my precious one and only grandbaby! This is my summer to finish a whole bunch of UFO's (un finished objects), mostly quilt tops. Your blocks look fabulous.
Love,
Donna
